3. Intelligent Protection Features
Miller Clamp: Provides robust IGBT single-rail power shutdown when the gate voltage falls below 2 V (typical), effectively preventing unintended turn-on. It can be powered by either a unipolar or bipolar secondary power supply and operates normally regardless of whether the Miller clamp is enabled.
Desaturation Protection: An integrated desaturation detection circuit provides protection against high-voltage short-circuit conditions in the IGBT. Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO): The secondary-side UVLO is set to 11.67 V (typical), taking into full account the common threshold voltage of IGBTs.
Fault Soft Shutdown: Performs a soft shutdown when a fault is detected, preventing damage to power devices caused by voltage spikes resulting from a hard shutdown.
